My take on Northern Ireland comes from interactions with people during the 1980s from Ireland, and the amount of violence that erupted in the UK and US because of the issue. This violence which was a result of the NRA and the infringement of human rights, resulted in a schedule that is in all Federal and State procurement contracts entitled the MacBride Act of 1989.

This act states that a vendor bidding on a project must either not being doing business with or investing in Northern Ireland, or if they are, are doing so under the UK Fair Employment Act and the MacBride Principles- nondiscrimination in employment.
This came out of the unrest in Ireland during the 1980s and 1990s.

I don't know anything else about it but that. And I see the damn MacBride Act Schedule every single day. We have to put in all our contracts.
