Oh, I'd agree with you. The reason he's running again for President and doesn't want to leave office is he's afraid of NY. NY currently has about 100 lawsuits, criminal and otherwise against him. He settled one for $2 Million. And recently changed legal addresses to avoid the taxes and well ...the lawsuits.
If he gets impeached or voted out, he's getting indicted. And who will pardon him? Also you can't pardon someone on State violations only Federal. The Office of President does protect you will in office from State, but not when you are out of office.
They really need to stop trying to get dirt on political opponents, particularly political opponents who are high in the polls by a 20% margin a full 18-20 months prior to the election and six months prior to any of the primaries.
