Year 2 - Day 143 - Gloomy Sunday

It's pouring and I've had the sick sinus headache from hell again today, just short of the vertigo headache. Nauseous headache bordering on a migraine. It's finally dissipated a little bit. Although dinner was just broth.

So this will be short.

Watched TV - decided on a whim, and out of boredom to try a 7 day trial of Apple TV. It's actually the cheapest of the streaming services at $4.99 a month.

Difficulty with Apple TV App is it takes longer to load, has glitches, and the sound went out twice. So we'll see.

Somewhat depressed today - mainly due to the headache, and worrying about my parents. ( Read more... )

Ah, the head-ache is gone. When they leave - I feel so relieved and grateful.

Mother: Do you think it might be COVID? You don't usually vomit.
Me: No that happens at times. But I've not had a headache in over a month. Not sure what brought it on. It did go away though - with medication, and cleared. If COVID, it wouldn't have.

I watched the closing ceremony of the Olympics - and it gave me hope. The Paris portion was incredibly moving, and inspiring. Also I chose to watch some of the events this week and found them to be oddly comforting in their normalcy. Showing that life goes on, that we can join together peacefully, celebrate sports and joyful activity and safely for the most part.

It was hard for them to pull it off. Japan has over 1 million cases right now. But they did it, and it makes me hopeful. Some good news. Not the superficial stuff, something real. I think.

Longer than expected, mainly because the headache has disappeared thankfully.
