It also helps if you don't have a mentally tasking job and an hour commute by subway and train each day. I honestly think what we are during the days affects what we read and watch on television. I know, speaking for myself, I loved reading Proust, the New Yorker, and various literary novels while unemployed, working in publishing, or other less mentally tasking jobs. And in undergraduate, adored Ulysess and Sound and the Fury. But in law school - I couldn't read them And ...now...they put me to sleep, because of what I've been reading and doing at work.

Has zip to do with the book, has a lot to do with mental overload.
