I think that was what happened in Arizona, which had previously been covered under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. Due to it no longer being covered, Arizona got away with only 60 polling places open instead of 200 during the primaries. (It's also a closed primary, so that added to the confusion.)

The General Election is going to be a nightmare in those previously covered states.
