I admittedly didn't go on an actual date until I hit college. But this woman is "drop dead" gorgeous. The sort, people would throw themselves at. Although, you are right -- traditional dating sort of went out with group dating. OTOH, this appears to be taking place in the early 1990s -- since no one has a cell phone, there's no WWW, but there are computers.
