I don't know...it's very odd. And it's not clear if it was the 1950s or 70s upon re-watch. Although 50s would make more sense, and would explain Steve being in his 70s or 80s now.

They didn't though -- forget about the Agent Carter series -- because the only television actor/character they bring into the movie is from that series, Jarvis.
