Day #30 -of the 30 Day Film Challenge..

Day #30 of the 30 Day Film Challenge

The prompt is A Film with your favorite ending

What if you don't have a favorite ending? Or can thing of a film with one?
I'm seriously drawing a blank here guys. I suppose you could say Raider's had a great ending, but I already used that one. West Side Story had a good ending - always sends chills down my spine. The Haunting - Wise's original film had a great ending.

For me, a good ending is something that leaves things open-ended somewhat.
Too neatly wrapped up - I get annoyed. Films that I felt didn't land the ending were the ones that felt the need to do multiple endings. Teaser ending, then another ending after it. Avenger's EndGame kind of went screwy with its ending.

I'm going with an oldie...mainly because I already used Empire Strikes Back and Raiders.

It's also the only one I remember.

This ends the movie challenge. Currently doing the television challenge, and starting Oct 1 - will start the 30 days of Halloween Challenge.

Too many years, too many movies, many favorite endings. So...

... since we're soon into the big ol' holiday time of the year, I'm going to choose a film from last winter that I almost didn't get to see in a theater, featuring an actress who is now one of those I'd watch in pretty much anything just to bask in her general genius-osity.

Yes, you, Emilia Clarke. You were great in this film, in a very different role from the one you became famous for. And this film had a lovely twist of an ending that once you look back, was both perfect and inevitable.

A lovely piece of work all around, BTW, not just Ms. Clarke. Good casting, writing, direction, music, the whole mighty twig.

I don't recall the reviews at the time, but like I mentioned, if I like the actor, don't care. (Tom Hanks would be another example. If he's in it, I'm there.)

However, there seem to be a lot of reviews on the IMDb that gave it 8s, 9s, and 10s, so 'taint just me. :-)
