From what I'm seeing though - there's not a lot agreement on it from the science community. I'm skeptical of the journalists - see post above with the reporters and the Governor. Dr. Fauci (CDC) and Dr. Zucker (NY Department of Health) make a good point, as does the Governor of New York - that the mutated strain in the UK is more of a problem, because it's more contagious, which means more people get it - and more end up in the hospital. Hospitals get overwhelmed.
The South Africa and Brazil strains - they are worried about, and uncertain of.
Right now their research is just showing higher level of contagion.
But it's unclear. I'm waiting for clarity, and taking extra precautions.
