I don't know anything about them - except my watching it on Netflix doesn't help them any. No more than my watching a television show NBC,ABC, or CBS helps whomever created it. I was already a subscriber to Netflix. I didn't just subscribe to watch it. And I watched it long after it already won.
Also the story isn't morally bankrupt, it's actually fairly progressive and complex. The writers are actually good and the story is morally complex. There's a reason it's won so many accolades - it is good.
The difficulty is life isn't clear cut - and people and corporations are more than one thing. I worked in the video game industry - it's a nasty industry, so is the television, film, and book publishing industry. I mean - I'm certain you can find nasty things your company has done - if you look for it. And it's not like any organization or television show etc is immune. Joss Whedon was an abusive boss, but I can still love Buffy.
You can be a good artist with an interesting story and an asshole at the same time. You can be a serial killer and write beautiful poetry that is moving. People are weirdly more than one thing. It's why I don't really believe in boycotting or banning things. It solves nothing and is counter-productive.
