British politics gives me a headache. Thanks for explaining though, I never have been able to wrap my head around the parliamentary system. The people vote for the MPs and the MPs vote for the Prime Minister? I'm wondering if this is how the US came up with it's electoral college system? Where people vote for a candidate, but in reality are voting for "electoral votes" per party candidate.
