More end of the year memage
Geeze..I didn't know the following comics artists died: Neal Adams, George Perez, Alan Grant, Tim Sale, Lily Renée, Kevin O'Neill, Brian Augustyn, Kazuki Takahashi, Tom Vietch, Raymond Briggs and Carlos Pacheco amongst others.
Or that Kevin Conroy also passed away. More than just a voice actor he was THE Batman voice we all heard in our heads since 1992.

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2022? Why?
* Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - got distracted
* Picard - see above
* 1883 - ditto - too many other things, also very violent

* White Lotus - struggling to get into
* Foundation - boring
* Squid Game - too dark and violent
* Severance - kind of slow, and depressing
* Essex Serpent - didn't work

* The Sandman S2 (if it arrives)
* Boba Fett
Which TV show impressed you least in 2022?
Monarch, House of Dragon (GoT was better), Obi-Wan, Wheel of Time, the second season of The Mandalorian (which was uneven to say the least). Also Foundation and the Essex Serpent, and Sandition.
Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2023 unless things significantly improve?
House of Dragon. Also possibly the Mandalorian.
Which TV shows do you think you’ll never let go of no matter how crappy they get?
General Hospital - apparently.
Your main fandom of the year?
Sigh...General Hospital. Sad, but true. (Almost got sucked into The Sandman, Arcane fandom, Beatles, X-men, Star Trek Discovery...and almost into Rings of Power...)
Your favorite film you watched this year?
Wakanda Forever... although I won't be held to that. TAR still haunts me.
A lot of them I can't remember. I did love the Glass Onion (great lines).
Your favorite book read this year?
I don't know. I can't remember most of what I read. My reading slump from hell continues. I'd say probably Project Hail Mary?
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Sigh, didn't really have one? I've been enjoying a lot of old school. Would say Kate Bush's Running Up the Hill, that was amazing. (Hmm - may change another meme and put that song front and center.)
Your favorite TV show(s) of the year?
Arcane; Rings of Power; Bridgerton S2; Station Eleven; Hacks;
Your favorite online fandom community of the year?
Soap Twitter - I guess, although it's been sketchy of late.
Your fandom that made an unexpected comeback this year?
Nothing did. Alas.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Joss Whedon further digging himself in that hole earlier this year with that atrocious interview where he pretty much proves what everyone else has been saying for a long time now. Not surprised, just severely disappointed.
Although it does explain a few things about the uneveness of the series, and the tendency to fall into the trap of horror television tropes.
Arcane not having that second season readily available.
Nina not being killed off of General Hospital, or Sonny reading her the riot act on GH.
Your fandom boyfriend(s) of the year?
Valentine (General Hospital); Obi-Wan Kenobi; Andor; Scott Summers (Cyclops); Dream (The Sandman)
Your fandom girlfriend(s) of the year?
Vi (Arcane: League of Legends); Anna Devane (General Hospital); Beth (Yellowstone); Miss Scarlet; and Galaderial (Rings of Power); Wednesday (Wednesday)
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Arcane surprised me, I didn't expect it to be that good. So did Rings of Power. Hacks. And The Sandman.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
Buffy fandom - I miss the people and the scholarly discussions, and cultural ones. Not so much the ones about the show per se. I liked the exchange of ideas.
The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
Drawing a blank.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
S2 of Andor (assuming there is one); S2 of the Sandman; S3 of Bridgerton; The Mayfair Witches (with any luck it won't follow the books too closely);
S2 of House of Dragon (I've not let go of it yet); Secret Invasion; Iron Heart; Agatha Harkness Coven of Mayhem; Mandalorian S3; S3 of the Witcher;
S2 of Rings of Power (assuming there is one); Doctor Who
