I remember $1.00 theaters in Colorado Springs - while I was in undergrad. We used to see two movies for a $1.00. I saw more movies in the 20th Century and early 00s, because it was easier and cheaper.

Now? You have to reserve seats in advance, and pay more. So, I've become a lot pickier.

I'm seeing Oppenheimer - because of Cillian Murphy, I like movies about science, it's gotten interesting reviews, my mother adored it (and we have similar taste) and I can see it in 70 mm with a like-minded friend (who has similar taste). Otherwise I'd wait for streaming, like I plan to with Barbie.
