Sigh, this reminds me of the whole Whedon debacle but so much worse. Whedon was almost the other way around? Because the s8 comics came out, and they were just awful, so the whole house of cards of his so-called brilliance collapsed - and then all the other stuff came out, and it was like 'Yeah, that makes sense of all the weirdly icky stuff in his shows.
Gaiman is clearly a better artist and also a bigger monster. :(
