I just finished watching the first three discs of Season 1 of The L Word. The last episode was the one where the girls go to that big lesbian retreat and Bette hires the carpenter. I like all the characters to varying degrees and I've enjoyed what I've seen, but I doubt I'll keep renting this show. Too soap opera-y for my tastes. But I have to agree with you about Bette. She's my favourite, and I really like Kit and Shane and Dana as well. I like Tina as well, but I'm not sure I love her because of her character, or if it's just because I like Laurel Holloman.

Ah well. I think I better stick to cop shows and sci-fi/fantasy. If only Canada got Veronica Mars!
