Oh my, I saw 'Brokeback Mountain' and I didn't even recognize her, she was really good in that!
And of course 'Devil Wore Prada' is MUCH better than 'Princess Diaries', I just felt that there was some kind of sequential connection....
I may have missed some NYC in jokes, but things like The New Yorker fashion edition, and various shows about the fashion industry, ends up making everyone familiar with a lot of it.
