It is a lot like Mary Tyler Moore - a little meaner and leaner than that show was, but most sitcoms nowadays are leaner and meaner.
Alec Baldwin while well-meaning isn't the lovable curmudegon Lou Grant was. Although he is much funnier. Seinfield in a way changed all that.
