Thank you. I couldn't tell from the trailers and reviews, but it appeared to be. And I was avoiding it in part, because of that. I didn't like the Swedish version that much, can't imagine liking the US one.

Also, what a nasty ending - but it does set up the next two films very well, and is exactly how the book ended. The book ended with her watching him go back to Erika...in the same way.
