I am curious, though. Did the portrait range to the part of Dru that loves both Angel and Darla? That's where the twist is, it has always seemed to me. And though I don't spend any time thinking about the four vampires way back when, it strikes to me that Spike always had to be a bit on the outside, because the other three had this deeper bond of victim/victimizer/love/hate thing going.
