Oh, no argument - I think Allie's (and Joss's) problem is that they're making poor choices about which things can be left to the readers' imaginations. I suspect that's because Joss cares about a different set of things than a fair portion of his audience does. And the really frustrating thing is that the things that the audience cares about could be filled in with minimal time and effort on Joss's part.
