I love Season 3 for precisely what you point out. It's organic for those characters. Both Crichton and Aeryn makes the choices they make because it's completely in their character to make those choices. So even as you wish they didn't hurt each other and pull away, you completely understand why they do. Why they have to. It's really amazingly well set up.
