I join you in being happy over the Mosque decision. You know, whenever people make blanket statements about Christianity based on one loon opening fire because God told him to, they are roundly criticized by the religious/conservative pundits for being intolerant. But, somehow, when it is an Islamist extremist doing the killing, suddenly it's because every Muslim breathing is a jihadist and there is nothing wrong in suspecting every single one of them of plotting to despoil America... even if they're American citizens.

I just find that outrageous and appalling.

As to the Prop 8 decision - I wish I was happy or excited. I want to be - as a gay guy, I should be, but all I can think of is this coming before the Supremes. The Conservative led court fills me with loathing and dread.

Unless a few Conservative Justices retire suddenly (or drop dead - but that would be wrong to hope for) I am not at all confident that we will ultimately be victorious.
