Yeah it was unpleasant actually. I've read a lot of bad fanfic in my lifetime. Yet not as unpleasant as tele-tubbies porn...or Harry/Snape porn. Or Bangle meets Twilight by way of Star Trek porn. Or the writers that seem obsessed with distinguishing characters by hair color. (ie. The brunette thought the blond vampire was hot. But the redhead far preferred the brunette vamp.)

Seriously...fanfic can be a mind-blowing experience.

That said? There is some really good Farscape fic out there. Read one that was post Peacekeepers which dealt with Aeryn having a child and Crichton afraid of losing her, it was better than you'd think. Vivid description and great dialogue. I wanted more when it was over.

Why can't the good fanfic writers get published?
