Creepy perhaps...but in a way it was what August/Pinnochio deserved and what he asked for. He wanted a rewind, that was his wish. And he got it. It's also the Pinnochio story with a modern day twist. Fairy tales can be somewhat creepy.

I got the feeling that Cora got the spell for the candle from Rumple. But Rumple is the one who gives Snow the candle or tells her where to find it. He also reminds her what to do with it. So yes and no...Cora's trick got her killed (ironic) but it was Cora's lover/love Rumple (who Cora was attempting to kill) that gave it to Snow (also ironic - considering all the poisons and spells used to hurt Snow and her family were equally acquired from Rumple.)

And yes, I think Snow was right to slap Gepetto upside the head -- I disagreed with Emma on that score. Emma's been a tad too forgiving of late.
