I agree with masq; I don't know that August wanted that dramatic of a reset. I feel like he wanted to make up for his past mistakes and work on being a better person. I don't think that translates into 'erase my memory and make me a child again.' Also... if he can't remember his mistakes, how can he learn from them or avoid them? The solution is overly simplistic and feels off to me. Though I am always more of a fan of people working through their problems rather than magic solutions.
