Verizon (Fios) or Cable Vision (Optimum)

So, the new area that I'm moving to does not have Time Warner, and I don't know which service provider to choose. Or if I should get a streaming box, or what type of streaming box? Rokio? Apple? Should I get Verizon? Optimum? What?

Advice on this question from those who have these services and know something about them, would be highly appreciated.

I've not used Optimum in particular, but we had Verizon Fios at our last house and loved it... while the cable internet we have now has been be very flaky and we'd switch to Fios again in a heartbeat if it was available.

Can you get ATT UVerse? I just changed to that, and so far, much, much better than TWC.
