That's a pretty long and eloquent answer that you say you don't have. :)

I wish I had a good pithy one, but I don't. When I was younger, I was, at different times, obsessed with Sherlock Holmes and with LOTR. Neither one at the level of Buffy, though -- at least, I never felt compelled to spend thousands of hours on line talking to other people about them, much less to write a blog/book.

Since Buffy I'd say I've been very interested in Veronica Mars, Harry Potter, GoT, and, recently, Hunger Games. But none of those rise to the level of Buffy either.

I think that AtPo played an important role for both of us. Whereas before I might read a book multiple times, there the (new) internet gave me the chance to talk to other people about it. And they (meaning you and others) taught me lots of new things about the show, pointed out stuff I'd missed. Once I realized just how much there was, I couldn't stop going back to see if there was more. There was. There always was, no matter how often I went back.

I think that qualifies as obsession, but I also think it justifies it.
