I had forgotten all that with Maid Marian - you're right, Selena as Marian makes no sense if you consider everything that happened during the fall.
It feels as if the show somehow got new writers and the new one's aren't familiar with what occurred previously? Or the writer's have run out of story idea and are sort of trying to make what happened previously work with this new idea?
I don't know. But it is sloppy. And a shame too - because the whole idea of the author manipulating the characters, then getting imprisoned in a book is rather clever.
This is actually a problem that I have with OUAT - the show has these great story ideas, but the writer's aren't good at execution.
