Yikes! Uprooted sounds pretty awful. Stick with the real Ilona Andrews. Magic Stars is worth the read (only an hour or so). In addition to focusing on 2 characters I like, it has plot points that are definitely important.
It's really hard to find good books to read on line. Bookstores are so much better because you can flip through them.
