Actually not Obi-Wan, so much as Leia whose barely figured this stuff out.
D'Herblay is the expert on icons. What I did was swipe others icons, with permission of course, put them in my pictures file on my hard-drive than go to Live Journal page - Journal - Manage - Pictures - it has a browse box and downloaded the file. It allows for three icons unless you're paying for the livejournal privilege.
For the "read more" or cuts?
Use html : lj-cut , place this inside the brackets <> to end the cut /lj-cut, inside the <> brackets. To add text? lj-cut text="text" inside the brackets.
I think there's a LJ FAQ section. Again no expert on this - D'Herblay and others are.
