Well, somewhat concerned about the growing water stains on my ceiling above the tv and down the wall, I decided to move the tv down a bit. So now, my armchair is against my far wall, across from the windows, the tv just slightly to the right of the windows, and the space beneath the leakage empty.
If it does drip, it will only damage the floor and nothing else.

As an aside, I bought renters insurance on Friday.

Seriously, I resign my lease for two years...about four weeks ago. And all these irritating problems pop up. I have extension cords across my kitchen floor, because the outlets closest to the stove and fridge fritzed out. No idea why. They are new outlets.

In other news, picked up a TV Guild for the Sci-Fi Preview, and...ghod, there are a lot of television series. Seriously there is literally something for everyone. It's gotten so that if the television series doesn't hold my attention within the first fifteen minutes, I'm gone. Also, if it premiered already elsewhere, and was canceled before it could wrap up its storyline, I don't watch any longer.
(Learned my lesson with Sense8. It's too bloody painful. Also Sense8 is getting a two hour wrap-up movie due to the outcry.)

BTW -- Better Call Saul got renewed. But Downward Dog and Girlboss were cancelled out of the box. (Neither were to my taste, but I don't like 98% of situation comedies, so... And my difficulty with Better Call Saul is well, the same problem I had with The Office, the lead character is a bit too realistic and close to people I've actually met in my life time. And I went to law school. So I don't find him funny, tragic or appealing. I just want to get the hell away from him. There's a reason I don't practice law in that way, people like Saul.)

For Supernatural Fans? Apparently the YA author SE Hinton, who wrote all those young boy ganster wannabe books, starting with the Outsiders and ending with Rumble Fish...is a huge fan of the series. (Having read her books and having watched the first 8-9 seasons of Supernatural, or all the way up to the conclusion of the first Devil/Angel war arc, with Dean being sent to Hell, and Sam having no soul, and getting it back again...I can see why she loves the series. It's similar in some respects to her books, well except for the urban horror legends, demons, and supernatural bits. The whole angsty, blue collar brothers from a rural/suburban noir wasteland, is totally SE Hinton.)

TV Shows premiering in July and August, in case you find yourself bored, and with nothing better to do with your time but binge on television shows:

* Will -- the bawdy adventures of a Young Shakespeare. It premiers on TNT, Monday July 10 (basically tomorrow) I plan on trying it - since the whole young playwrite/history of theater bit is a strong pull for me, plus I find Shakespeare interesting, so will let you know.

* Salvation -- This is the new disaster on the horizon sci-fi thriller from CBS. It's about a Pentagon Public Affairs Pro, A tech Superstar, and an MIT Whiz kid scientist plotting to stop a planet-killing asteroid from striking Earth in three months! (I tend to like these things, the cheesier, the better, so I may try this and will let you know) -- it premiers this Wed, July 12 on CBS around 9 pm/ 8 pm central.

* Friends from College -- a comedy in the same vein as friends. 8 episodes. The people sleep with each other's spouses. (I'll probably pass, I find these sort of comedies irritating. The only ensemble Friends style comedy that I enjoyed was Stephen Moffat's British Comedy "Coupling", that was hilarious. But if you are interested it's on Netflix on July 14. I actually prefer the one's that premier on netflix, because you can watch at any time, no need to remember to record or anything. Also easier to find.)

* Snowfall -- this is yet another crime drama about the drug trade, this round it's "How Crack Began" in the early 1980s. It's on FX, Wed. (I don't like these things. Mainly because I had too much interaction with it from a real life perspective, and it makes me sad and unhappy about the nature of the human race in general. In law school, I defended two crack-heads. And a heroine addict. Two guilty of major crimes, one just guilty of possession. I can't watch television shows about it.)

* Game of Thrones (which I keep thinking has started already, but apparently not) begins S7 on July 16 on HBO. This is the second to last season. I'm actually pleased it's cutting itself off at 8 seasons. Maybe by that time, GRR Martin will release his last two books in the series.

* Midnight Texas - Monday July 24 on NBC. Based on yet another Charlain Harris series. (I honestly don't understand the appeal of this writer, her dialogue is horrific.) But the television series is not written by Harris and should be better. It reminds me a little of True Blood, in that the heroine is once again a waitress. Although this one seems a little brighter but still has an odd name: Creek Lovell. Everyone does in this show. Olivia Charity is the diva/queen bee, Lemuel Bridger, her vampire lover. Joe Strong -- the gay fallen angel, tattoo artist. Bobo Winthrop -- the pawn shop owner.

* Somewhere Between -- yet another time travel thriller. This one starts July 24 on ABC. IT's about a mother whose life crumbles after her 8 year old daughter is murdered. She somehow travels back in time to the week before her daughter's death. And scrambles to prevent it. (I don't trust these series, the writer's like to go really dark and make the character's attempts to change event futile.
Which irritates me. I mean why do it? If you aren't going to let them change things, than it's just torture. Also how do you do a whole television series based on altering one event? You need more than one carrot or one plot line for a television series. Works fine for a movie, not a whole series. Frequency tried the same idea and failed miserably.)

* The MIST -- for people who like scary horror series with metamorphsis. Try The Mist based loosely on the Stephen King novel of the same name. It's on Spike TV at 10 PM, a date wasn't provided though.
Which is odd.

* Marvel's Defenders pops up on August 18 on Netflix. With a new baddie being played by Sigourney Weaver.

* Suits (which I can't watch because I went to law school, worked in corporations with corporate attorneys, also interviewed them, and my suspension of disbelief jumped out the window and did a jig down the block every time I tried. The only legal procedural shows that I've been able to watch are The Good Wife and LA Law. I was able to do Boston Legal for a bit, but even it got on my nerves.) --
premiers Wed July 12 on USA.

* Remember Me -- Mystery Miniseries Premiere is July 16. Stars Michael Palin as octogenarian who lies his way into a retirement home in an effort to rid himself of the ghost of a dead babysitter who has been haunting and controlling him for decades. It's on PBS -- Sunday July 16.

* Hooten & The Lady -- Lone-wolf globe trotter Hooten teams up with aristocratic museum curator Lady Alexandra to hunt down the world's hidden treasures and artifacts. On the CW July 13.

* Loaded -- British take on Silicon Valley (which I didn't like so..) It's on AMC, July 17.

* Decendants 2 ( I managed to miss the first one, how did I do that? Oh right too many tv shows, no time, and my patience with just sitting and watching tv for long stretches of time is waning. I'd rather write, read, or wander.) - This is a movie on Disney, ABC, Freeform, Lifetime, Lifetime Move Network and airing simultaneously on all of them, just in case you don't have access to one of the channels -- on July 21 at 8 pm. It's a musical about the descendants of all the Disney fair-tale villains. Mal (17 year old daughter of Malificient), Carlos (Cruella De Ville), Evie (Evil Queen), Jay (Jafar), who banded together, gave up their evil ways, to live happily ever after in Auradon. Except Mal, six months later, is ready to bail, she doesn't want the responsibility of being Queen. So off she goes to the Isle of the Lost, and reunites with her arch foe Uma (Ursula the sea witch's kid), Captain Hook's son, Harry, and Gaston's kid, Gil.

There's song and dance numbers, and lots of big production bits.

* Phelps vs. Shark - Great Gold vs. Great White, Reality Special -- July 23, Sunday, Discovery.
Apparently Discovery has decided to up its ratings during "shark week" and is doing a swimming contest between a Great White Shark and Michael Phelps. (Sigh, does Phelps have no shame?)

And there's still more. I only picked the ones I thought mildly interesting and not already streaming/on.
