1. Pretty day for the most part. In the low 80s. Humid. And dry. We desperately need the rain, that will most likely arrive tomorrow and Monday. Assembled a chair and table today...major accomplishment of the morning. I can now paint. One can write without a table, even draw without a table, but one cannot effectively paint.

I miss painting. It calms me.

Also ate too much sugar...I don't know why I binge things that hurt me. Seems rather self-destructive actually, also gets in the way of the sleeping.

Table that was easy to assemble did have a damaged table -- most likely from the manufacturer. While I should just return it. It's nothing major. And I want the table to paint on. Plus can't really notice it. And the table was only $29.

Chair was a bitch to assemble however.

2. Once Upon A Time

The reboot didn't grab me. Honestly they couldn't pick a story that hadn't been done already...such as I don't know there has to be one out there. Maybe Rose White and Rose Red, where the prince is a bear? It seems to me that the writers have run out of ideas.

The story focuses on Henry Mills (Regina and Emma's kid) going off on a wild adventure to another realm, where he literally runs into Cinderella. Cinderella is Hispanic, which is nice. This cast is far more diverse than the previous cast...which means they listened to the criticism of the first iteration as being a wee bit too white for words. Also the story is a bit different than previously told. That's the back story. The front story...Henry like Emma before him is living in the world without magic sans memory of the magical world. According to Henry he lost his family in a fire and is unable to write as a result. Enter Lucy, a eight year old girl who claims to be his daughter. She steals his laptop, causing him to trace it down at a local bar, owned by Regina Ronie. The new local is Hyperion Heights off of Seattle, which is a bit rundown and in the process of being gentrified by the evil Stepmother, who wants to run the fairy tale characters out of town, further separating them from each other and any hope of regaining their memories or magic.

Rumplestilskin is an undercover cop. Hook is a cop that just makes Detective and becomes Rumple's partner. It's a city police force. And the new ambiguous magical character similar to Rumple is Alice, from Alice in Wonderland.

My difficulty with it was...I got bored and it just wasn't that compelling. The guy playing Henry is rather dull and doesn't grab me. And the best thing in it is actually the woman playing Cinderella, but I'm not exactly rooting for her to be reunited with Henry. They don't have that much chemistry.

I think I'm going to move on.

Regarding Marvel's Inhumans -- I forgot to DVR it this week so missed the episode. Which probably states how interested I was in it. Odd it's not on Demand...I did look. But hard to care one way or the other. (Everything else is On Demand).
