Indulging in a little cranky whinging & a meme

Well...I looked outside and it still appears to be snowing, lightly. Looks cold and frosted out there, like someone covered everything with white powdered sugar, lots of it.

Only one person has provided feedback on the latest installment of evil fanfic, (thanks deadsoul820 - really appreciate it!!!) - this could mean several things. 1. People didn't like it (which I admit I was and am a little worried about considering how dark I'm going...it's why I haven't gotten the guts to post any of it on the fanboards, assuming the fanboards I frequent allow fic, not sure they do...never see anything but board centered fic on atpo), 2. I've scared them off with my warnings, 3. they did like it but don't know what to say (which I have to admit I do a lot regarding reading fanfic so completely understand, but it is annoying when you are a writer and crave feedback like a whore), 4.doesn't appeal to them at all - (ie no sex, no Spike, no Angel, and very dark themes and/or they just don't read fanfic - valid lifestyle choice, I only read BTVS/ATS fanfic and only within last two or three years, so completely get this), 5. or they just don't have the time right now. Trying to be patient and not pout. Ugh. Will continue to post new installments
though, even if it's just me and deadsoul reading, which may very well be the case. Course next installment may take a while - since it involves Giles and writing Giles ain't as easy as it looks, particularly in the direction I intend to take the character. (Ugh! Feeling guilty for indulging in fanfic writing exercise...)

Oh new meme thingy that I gakked from [profile] mamcunluna

Recommend to me...
1. a movie
2. a book
3. a musical artist, song, or album
4. a LiveJournal user not on my friend's list
5. what I should have for dinner
6. a website
and put it in a comment and then put this in your journal

I just wanted to let you know that I am reading. I've even recommended it to a friend who appreciates Drusilla. I just suck at commenting. I am interested in what happens next.

Oh thank you!

Completely understand the "suck at commenting part", since to be honest I do too. I hate commenting on fanfic, because usually I just like to read and
think about it...interacting with the writer just feels weird to me somehow. So I understand this.

That said - it does help to know if people are reading and like what they see. Part of the exercise.
So thanks again for piping up! Glad your enjoying it!

Wanted to let you know I read the latest installment and liked it. I'd book marked to comment and forgotten. Which is hardly unusual for me. I know I don't, in general, feel comfortable commenting on fic, so I suspect you have more readers than you think.

Oh thanks...

But you sound like you have your hands full at the moment with *far* more important issues...so wasn't expecting a comment.

Thanks for commenting. I'm just being silly - need to stop comparing myself to the popular fanfic writers on my friends list who get something like 50 comments whenever they post a fic. LOL!

Sorry sweetie! I am reading and enjoying though, I just haven't been able to think of anything intelligent to say lately. I think I need more caffeine in my life - but keep writing!
