Dune won't be on my list, but I really enjoyed the book. I don't like the 1984 movie (too much leaning on the drug aspect and a ditzy art style), and I think the SyFy channel's award-winning mini-series was better, but still weak. The original is so much of a psychological story that I'm not sure it can ever be filmed adequately. The book's sequels went off in directions that no doubt made sense, but clashed unpleasantly with where my imagination thought they ought to go.
