Hmmm...haven't enjoyed the last two episodes of Lucifer as much as others have.

What did I like?

* Maze and Charlotte were interesting. Charlotte didn't turn Maze down because she was female, but because she was Maze, and was unnerving her. Maze realized she was into Charlotte not because of anything other than Charlotte smelled of home. Torment. But later, came to the realization that no, she doesn't want to go back home or return to what she was, she's ready to move on.

* I'm thinking the Maze/Amen/Dr. Linda love triangle is over...after Dr. Linda called things off with Amen for reasons other than Maze? I hope so. I hate love triangles that make me edgy.

* Apparently I was right, the writers are going for a Pierce/Lucifer ship not a Decker/Pierce ship. Which is more interesting. (Well it would be if Pierce possessed the chemistry of something other than a block of wood...he appears to have anti-chemistry? But I have to say the Lucy/Pierce suburban marriage was weirdly entertaining, even if it felt a bit off at times, and out of character...at others.) But I'm very happy we aren't doing a Pierce/Decker/Lucy triangle, if anything it appears they are going for a Lucy/Pierce/Decker triangle, which is ahem...weird, but interesting. Personally, I think Decker/Lucy/Pierce works better, but that's just me. (The only one I'd shag in that combo is Lucifer. Hmmm. Who would you shag, marry and throw off the cliff? I'd shag Lucifer, Marry Dan, and Throw Pierce off the cliff. Don't worry he'd live, immortal.)

As an aside, yes, Mark and Luke, was funny for anyone who caught the metaphysical references. (Mark and Luke -- writers of the new testament. And Mark of Cain, and Luke -- an apostle, also gospels according to Luke and Mark. So, I was amused. I like it when the writers poke fun at Judeo-Christian mythology.

And Pierce told Decker that while they had a moment, it wasn't going to work. (Thank god. Personally I'm rooting for Decker to kill him because that would be...interesting.)

* Loved the scene where Lucy goes to K-Pop (which actually in reality is Korean Pop Music, Dan was right) and takes out all the henchmen. Loved loved loved. It showed how dangerous and powerful Lucifer really is. Which is easy to forget at times. They were down-playing the Angel/Devil aspects of the character -- and I need to see them. I'm watching the show for that, not the boring procedural cop-buddy show bits (which I can get with all the other procedurals on tv.).

* Love the soundtrack, but I always love the soundtrack. Lucifer does a good job with music. (Would like to see Lucy sing more.)

*And Detective Dan and Charlotte is a ship I can get behind. I'm shipping them and Maze/Dr. Linda (yes, still, hope springs eternal).

Stuff I didn't Like:

* I'm anti-shipping Pierce with pretty much everybody. Although I don't quite mind Pierce and Lucifer -- that's rather interesting in a way. Cain and the Devil. Also Mark and Luke -- hee.

* Pierce/Decker -- ugh. (see above)

* The procedural mystery storyline that made no sense and I was having issues following. (Although the neighbor guy, who was the woman's accomplice with the tree trimmers? He looks like Steve Carroll from The Office. Or reminds me of him. Very close resemblance. Even the acting/mannerisms are similar).

* Woman in the tree chipper? Gross.

* Some bits didn't work -- Pierce and Lucifer's married couple arguments and reunion, didn't quite click. I found it jarring, and it felt unreal or surreal. Even though I knew where the writers were trying to go with it. Just didn't work. Ellis was doing all the work there, and Welling wasn't selling it.

* Maze interrupting Dan and Charlotte's date, while Dan begins asking Charlotte if she'd like a threesome with Maze? I found...repulsive and felt sorry for Charlotte. Don't blame her for getting up and going to the bar. While I liked her discussion with Maze before and after it, the one-on-one. The bit with Dan, made my skin crawl -- it felt as if both were coming on too strong and harassing poor Charlotte.

* Also, I'm not sure I like the way the writers are portraying bi-sexuality or homosexuality on the series -- it appears to be a joke to them. First the Maze/Charlotte and Dan bit, then the Lucifer/Pierce bit -- where they are dressed like the stereotype and act like it. (I know a lot of homosexual male couples (they go to my church) and just no.) It was done for laughs.

(They can redeem themselves by going with a Maze/Doctor Linda relationship. Or Detective Dan/Amendial relationship. Even Charlotte/Elle...I'd go for.)
