The Little Friend is much better than The Lovely Bones--at least, I thought so. Both do touch on young people and murder, so if that's what you hated, you won't like it. But I think Hartt's characters are much deeper and truer than Sebold's, and her premise is realistic, of course. And Hartt as you know from the first book is a genius with plots.
