I think she was just visiting. She only had one suitcase. My guess is AirBnB, someone gave her the wrong address or she got it garbled. (But that scam sounds horrible. I hope someone shoots those crooks in the knee-caps.)
A Youtube creator I follow posted a video today about a military ration someone had sent her. She was told it was a Russian ration. But when she pulled out a phone, and tried to use a Russian-English translation app on the writing on the wrapper she got nothing.
Translation app's are dicey. Even online I don't trust the translations. Mainly because English is one of those odd languages that has fifteen different definitions and uses for one word. You have to go by context. I don't know how bad Russian is in this regard.
Although...generally agree, phone apps are...not always reliable. I have troubles with Siri and Alexa. I tell it to put on music and it researches it on Safari. I don't want to research music, I want to play it. You have to be precise or it gets really confused. So I don't use it. Those commercials lie.
