Interesting. My Uncle made it through the first season, and was upset. He said it was the most depressing and painful group of shows he'd watched. That it had a great premise but depicted humanity in a horrible manner without a glimmer of hope. And why hadn't I watched yet.

I am considering hunting down the episode that won -- which is a rip-off of Star Trek and apparently John Scalzi's Red Shirts.
