Went over to Friday Five and swiped several memes to answer.
A. Meme regarding Comments in DW:
1. Do you like to reply to every comment in your journal?
No. Sometimes it's best not to comment. I've learned this the hard way. If I had learned it earlier, I'd have stayed friends with a few people a wee bit longer. ;-)
Also, don't always have time. Sometimes the comment requires no response. And I have tendency to lose track of comments on DW because DW tracks my comments as well as others...and the others get lost.
2. What type of post gets the most/least responses in your journal?
Anything regarding a popular fandom, television series, movie, etc that others are watching or interested in. Anything that is highly controversial. Anything that people feel the need to fact-check or correct me on.
3. What do you do when a new person first comments in your journal?
Nothing.
4. When you're reading someone else's journal, do you read every comment before adding your own?
Sometimes, but rarely. Which can have humorous side-effects.
5. When is "too late" to reply to an entry?
About a month after it's been posted. Although I've had people reply to entries I wrote five years ago. (Folks if I wrote it a month ago, I'm not going to remember it, let alone five years ago.)
B. General Meme:
1) If you could be either a fish or a bird, which would you be, and why?
Bird. I'd rather fly, and far more things you can do. Being a fish is rather limiting. Also easier to get away from pesky predators.
2) Would you rather it be 10 degrees too hot or 10 degrees too cold? (Does your answer change if that’s indoors or outdoors?)
!0 degrees too cold. You can always put on more clothes. You can't take off your skin.
3) What is the best thing that happened to you today?
Caught a deal on online shopping.
4) Is youth wasted on the young? (Follow-up: are you old or young?)
No. Define old?
5) Pasta salad or potato salad?
Potato Salad. Can't eat Pasta Salad.

1. Do you believe in fate? Not really. I think to some extent we influence our own outcomes, granted half of that is preordained by things like DNA, environment, etc...but we do have choices.
2. If Karma was to visit you now, would it be kind or kick you in the butt?
Hopefully kind. I think sooner or later you will find yourself on the opposite side of every argument you've ever had...and it helps if you are careful about the arguments. I've been careful.
3. Do you believe you have lived another life previous to this one?
Yes. Too many weird-ass deja-vue moments for any other explanation to be plausible. I just seem to know things, which others tell me I require experience to know -- I don't have it, but I feel that I do. Which is weird. Until another plausible explanation appears...I'm going with that one. But, I'm open to other possibilities.
4. What do you believe in with an unshakable resolve?
God or the Source, an entity who is part of us all, and created us all, and we all return to. Don't bother arguing with me about this -- it's a waste of your time.
5. What one factor influences your life the most?
To be kind and not hurt anyone to further myself in any way. I've turned down jobs, broken off relationships, de-friended people online, and avoided certain opportunities, while pursuing others because of that view. I'm not always successful.
I.
1. After your first language, what language would you most like to learn? (Say first language too)
Spanish. (First Language is English)
2. Does your country have a second language? What is it? - No. (although apparently every immigrant who comes here has decided to add their language to the mix, but legally?? There's just English, granted it gets a bit garbled and changes depending on which area you are in.)
3. How many languages can you count to 5 in? To 10 in? List them.
Two. French and English.
4. What is the first overseas country you visited? And from where? (ie/ timbuctoo to mars)
Not sure Puerto Rico counts? (US to Puerto Rico?)
France. (Kansas to France.)
5. What country do you most want to visit? And why?
New Zealand. I hear it's beautiful. And about as different as you can get from NYC.
J.

Prefer to hunt for own clues along the way.
3. Do you want an ultimate ending to your movie or do you prefer to have it open for conjecture and discussion.
Either is fine.
4. Do you talk during a movie (preferably one in your home, not in the theatre)?
Not really. Depends on the movie.
