The series is quite good, better in some respects than the books ...but I don't remember them clearly. I'm waiting for episode 6 to drop, which it hasn't yet. I have HBO Now as an app on Amazon Prime, that's how I'm seeing it.
The Witcher -- near as I can figure is a dark fantasy series that focuses on a mercernary hero who kills monsters for hire. The hero is played by the easy on the eyes, Henry Cavill (Superman and the Tudors). So potential. The man is pretty and can act.
I'm considering checking it out because of the visuals as well.
