I just saw Nip/Tuck tonight and am just stunned. An actual abortion on US tv! And then the discussion of said abortion turns not to ethics but to the role of beauty in society. "I loved you most of all." The ending. Wow.
I still think the acting and writing errs a bit on the melodrama side but the whole concept of the medical ailments being metaphors for the characters' inner life is the best since BtVS' demons. So impressed.
