shadowkat1. Another day with no sun, overcast, and the sky looking like peeled hard boiled eggs -- without the egg yolks. Oh well, hopefully it will be a good day to do laundry, write and clean the apartment. I'm not going grocery shopping again - already went three times this week. I'm getting all my exercise going to and from the grocery store -- well that and work, it's rather brilliant actually. The grocery stores are, depending which one I go to, six to thirty blocks from my home, give or take. Or fifteen to thirty minutes. Basically half a mile.

"JFC, did NOBODY vet this fucking asshole before putting him on the goddamned ballot????? He doesn't even meet the requirements?? HOW IS HE EVEN IN OFFICE???"
No, the individual is NOT as you might think discussing the current President of the US, that's where my mind went too.
Here’s something that has puzzled me. Pres Elect needs to have published 5 novels. Novel is defined in RWA policy as romantic fiction of 40K or more words. But per his website and Amazon, Damon Suede has written only 4 novels over 40K words.
Yes, this is about a homosexual writer who is president of the RWA and specializes in homoerotic romance novels, apparently. I looked him up, because I never heard of him. I'm currently feeling sorry for this poor unknown struggling writer that I didn't know existed until now. Does anyone realize how hard it is to become a published writer? Particularly a male, homosexual writer, specializing in homoerotic fiction for men in the Romance field?
Also, in a world where we have a President of the US, with absolutely no qualifications outside of running various failed business operations, and being the star of a rather nasty reality series --- I don't know why it surprises this individual. If anything the current president of the RWA seems more qualified to do his job than the one currently running the US.
"And FYI did I see they are actually debating in the loops whether or not it's appropriate to say the word "fuck?" Well, fuck that noise. They want to scream their racism is "freedom of speech" but you can't tell them to go fuck themselves? FUCKING ASSHOLES. #RWAshitshow"
Well, yes, both are freedom of speech or protected under the First Amendment. That's the pesky thing about the First Amendment, you can basically say whatever you please as long as it doesn't incite people to kill folks or to violence. Hate Speech is dicey -- because there's a very fine line between incite and harmless, and the courts aren't always clear as to where it falls.
Sometimes I wish certain forms of speech were outlawed, make life easier. But only in the short term. It can come out in other ways.

I'm looking at you, Susan Sarandon.
(Yep, the Hillary Haters are the reason we're about to end up in yet another war.)
Now, I posted to Twitter the same video I posted here -- hoping they'd share it and make it viral. They ignored me. It wasn't a video about me nor would it promote me in anyway. [Maybe that was my mistake -- Twitter is a marketing platform. If you aren't promoting yourself why bother.] It was a video about being kind to others, and finding a way to fight racism through kindness and not snark and insults. But alas, why do that, when you can yell and scream and be snarky in self-righteous rage? I mean it's so much more effective not to mention fun to rip people apart, obviously, then to kindly sit down and chat with the person who disagrees with your point of view, whatever it may be. Why listen and gently inform, when you can self-righteously hurt and maim with words. Look at me, the pen is mightier than the sword! I know, let's all go demonize every who isn't us, and worship ourselves in the process. Because that clearly works. Not. Fools. They deserve Trump.
Note to self, if you want to like the human race? Don't go on Twitter. Watch fluffy Korean Romantic Comedies instead.
