Jan. 28th, 2020 06:43 pm1. I've started meditating every day again. Work and the commute are making me cranky. Also I'm possibly going into menopause - although it's currently better than perimenopause if this is the case.
Cubical Mate: People can be annoying.
Me: Ain't that the truth.
I just want to shoot everyone with a water gun or paint gun. And the endless political nightmare that the US has embroiled itself in hasn't helped. The whole thing is beyond anxiety inducing not to mention frustrating.
Poster: You know, I've finally figured it out..it's the Republican Party we need to get rid of.
ME: You think?
2. I need a book with good banter. I miss sexual banter. The books I've been reading suck at it.
3. Watched:
* Prodigal Son -- which, was weirdly disappointing and hard to focus on. I kept getting distracted by the killer of the week -- I couldn't figure out where I'd seen the actor before. Ah, Michael Raymond-James (Terriers and Once Upon a Time) and I thought he was shorter -- he seems huge. Okay, this makes me realize how tiny the actor playing the protagonist truly is.
* Stumptown -- I'm admittedly only interested in Dex. I don't really care that much about anyone else. This could prove to be problematic as we move forward. Also only Dex' s storylines are interesting. Grey/Hoffman's story is very cliche and somewhat predictable. My attention wanders whenever they are on-screen. I like the Lt, Tico, and Ansel. I just find Grey and Hoffman to be rather boring.
Dex however had a nice role reversal story this past week.
* Grey's Anatomy - I was bored. Also I miss Alex already. I don't know what they plan on doing with his wife.
* Station 19 - eh, this is going to get cancelled off my DVR soon.
* A MillionWhiny Little Things -- I find Gary, Eddie, and his wife interesting at least. Everyone else I want to kick. However, the new mystery/puzzle is rather intriguing. Why is Jason Ritter's character pretending to be the recipient of Maggie's brother's heart? He didn't have heart surgery.
4. I think I may have to watch the last episode of Doctor Who, and skip the previous four episodes. Why? Because...I saw a weird spoiler.
EW article:
"Jodi Whittacker signed on for a third season and isn't going anywhere."
CNN:
"Doctor Who cast it's first black female doctor..."
Me: Eh...WHAT?
I'm not spoiled. I don't know what this means. But I'm feeling like I should watch considering way back in 2008, I told Doctor Who fans that I wasn't going to devote myself to the series or care until they had a female or POC Doctor, as opposed to yet another white male.
Now...

Date: 2020-01-30 02:20 am (UTC)Very good episode. Also, was surprised to see the other guest star pop up.
