Day 6 of self-isolation: Dance Party
Well, I suppose it's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one trying not to go slowly insane? I feel like I've been forced into solitary confinement without even a fluffy pet or plant to keep me company. I do have a nice window to look out of - with trees and chirping birds.
Today, around 3:40 PM - I got fed up enough with the virus news and work to host my own personal little dance party.
"Good Lovin" by the Rascals came on my IPhone Apple Music -
And I decided - okay that's it - it's time to Dance it Out! So I whirled about my apartment dancing to Good Loving.
Yes, folks, it's come to that. I'm hosting solo dance parties in my apartment during work to 1960s hits - that aired before I was born. (I was born in 1967, this was 1966, I'll have you know.)
Actually I'm an excellent dancer when no one is watching. And it was a great work out. I'm going to do this every day - host a five minute dance party. I have the space for it. Yes, there's a plus side to being frugal in the furnishing department.

Yeah, me too! Okay, no, I'm sure I'm terrible, lots of rhythmically dubious flailing about and such, but I know that sometimes while I'm working in my shop, and a really great tune comes over the radio, one is hard pressed to find a momentarily greater sense of joy.
There was a Peanuts toon I recalled that perfectly captured that, but I couldn't find it on short notice. This old Bloom County one's pretty good, though!
Go for it!
