1. Saw two movies today.

Blinded By the Light - which is a pseudo-musical with Bruce Springsteen songs, sung mainly by Springsteen. It's based on a true story - about a Pakistani immigrant family living in North London. It follows a sixteen year old Pakistani immigrant boy struggling to find his way at school and at home in the 1980s. Dealing with racism, bullying, love, and the conflict with his family's traditions and his own dreams. He finally finds his voice and the courage to express who he is, along with two new friends, through the songs of Bruce Springsteen.

It's a heartwarming story, but rather slow in places. My attention kept drifting.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith - a 1990s film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (at least I think it's 90s, I'm pretty certain its not 80s) about two rival assassin/spies who marry each other, not realizing the other one is a spy/assassin.
It's a nice fluffy action/comedy/romance. Perfect for my inability to focus on crap.

2. A social media friend on FB attempted to scare me about ordering masks on Amazon.

Friend: When will they even come? May or June? And how can you trust it? Mail Theft, etc?
Me: Well, I know it's coming tomorrow and is in transit today, arriving late. That it is coming through USPS. I have informed tracking through USPS, where they email or text when my package arrives and show pictures of it - so I know what's coming.
And mail theft is not really an issue in my building. We have security cameras, and locked mail boxes they can leave it in.

Take that - paranoia - and shove it up your proverbial ass! She also tried to freak me out about public transportation and how driving was so much better. Folks? I owned a car and drove it everywhere from 1990-1996. I hated it. I also came back and drove it in 1997 and in 1998, before my parents sold it and sent me the money.

Driving isn't better or more reliable or cheaper. It's just different. Cars can break down. You can get stuck in the middle of nowhere. Your battery can die. You can get into an accident. You can get killed in a car crash. You can get tickets for speeding or illegally parking. You have to pay to park, to maintain it, for insurance, etc.

While the public transportation I take? If it breaks down - they quickly fix it - I don't have to do a thing. It's free for me. And it gets me where I want to go much faster.

The pandemic is not forever. And I wouldn't be driving during it anyhow.

Also back to the masks? I figured out how to make my own cloth mask without any sewing from a bandana.

This is by far the best video that I found on the process.
