Petz and I are not the demographic for it - it's for 10-15 year old boys. And there's a lot of parents with 10-15 year old boys. I found it unwatchable - but it was made for a 10 year old boy or girl. Not me.
Also - a side comment? Popularity doesn't necessarily equate good. Nor does money equate good or talent or anything else. Things are successful for weird reasons that often have nothing to do with quality.
History has kind of proven that. Most best-sellers disappear and go out of print. (Look at the NY Times Best-seller list or the popular movies at various times in history. Most I've never heard of.) While many books that fell below the radar and didn't sell at the time of their publication for whatever reason - are major hits now. Austen wasn't a best-selling novelist, she struggled, she wasn't that popular. The ones who were? We've never heard of.
