Bananas...I rarely eat them, because my system doesn't tend to like them. Although they make a great natural sweetener for pancakes and muffins, plus fiber source. I can eat them better if they are part of pancake or muffin batter.
My mother loves them.
Way back in 2003 - I briefly interned for a crazy marketing/promotional guy who was the marketing manager for the WHO and the Beatles. I remember the other intern took out a banana to eat at lunch, and got reamed by this guy - who went on a 30 minuted rant about the horrors of bananas and how much he despised them, and we should eat kiwi instead. The other intern and I just looked each other, and rolled our eyes. Bananas appear to be one of those fruits that most people either love or really hate. Had a massage therapist who preached against bananas, she also wasn't crazy about apples - claiming pears were better and less sweet.
Re Meat Loaf - there are just some foods that are comfort foods because they remind us of home. (My mother used to make a meatloaf that was different from any I've seen - it had macroni along the side, tomato sauce, and with bread crumbs, etc. So of course I haven't been able to eat it since 2005. But I have fond memories of it.)
