I've been doing it for a long time - started about ten years ago, and even before then was doing it off and on. Prior to the pandemic - I was doing it after work or before bed for about 3-20 minutes each night. During the pandemic - switched to the mornings before work, and do it for about 10-20 minutes each morning. Started at 3-5 minutes, and slowly built up.
Also tried multiple apps before settling on one. And styles. Mindfulness works best for me. Guided mindfulness meditation - I need a guided/timed one, or I start wondering what time it is.
It's helped tremendously - to calm me, and as a result, I sleep much better.
