I think you are right - she also did a lot interesting research prior and asked him about most of it. What he didn't deny or verified, oh dear. It's not the affairs that were troubling, so much as how he went about them, why, and who with. Mostly very young women, under the age of 25, and he enjoyed playing up the power dynamics.
Their interview is a weird power play, and as a friend on twitter pointed out - a masterclass on how to trap an interview subject. And I honestly think if he read the article - he wouldn't see any of it. He really doesn't think he did anything wrong.
