Well it came out in the 1940s, and was re-released as a kids movie every decade thereafter - okay, every decade until roughly the 1980s - 1990s, when a protest was mounted, Disney got embarrassed and yanked it. It's possible you got drug to it as a small child, like I did. My parents saw it when they were kids or thereabouts.
It was a kids movie. With a lot of cartoons - and the cartoons were kind of reminiscent of early Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse.
But I don't remember much either - outside of the song. It didn't stick with me that well. I vaguely remember the old guy Uncle Remus, his stories, but not why he told them to the two little white kids. Or the plot. Or if there was much of a plot.
